World Youth Summit act 1 Northern Cyprus
World Youth Summit is a three days simulation for international students held biannually in any part of the globe. The first edition of the World Youth Summit was held in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus. During these days, participants or delegates engaged themselves into the Dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of world leaders and influential decision-makers. It is an opportunity for delegates to improve their skills in many domains such as teamwork, negotiation, leadership, public speaking and many others.
The first edition of World Youth Summit-MUN was held from 26th until 28th of April, 2019 in Northern Cyprus. The World Youth Summit-MUN, as the name suggests, is a summit made of young leaders ready to make a change, as well it gives motivation to the young people to activate and participate in the UN’s Agenda 2030. Noah’s Arch was the venue for this conference as the Organizing Committee always chooses the best for the participants. It had brought one of the best Executive Board from all over the world. The hospitality shown by the WYS Team to the delegates was of the elite class. It was organized with the collaboration with United Youth Circuit.
The basic difference between Parliamentarian debate and this conference is that the Parliamentarian debate is very informal whereas WYS was a very formal debate, which teaches delegates how to properly negotiate and debate. The WYS Northern Cyprus 2019 had brought down one of the foremost committees of the world with the top-notch agendas. One of the main topics discussed was the UN’s Agenda 2030 about 17 SDGs; the main goal that was discussed was Goal no. 4-Quality Education. The WYS teaches delegates how to improve their social skills as well as professional skills. Delegates were very involved and very much happy to participate.
